Get to Know Me

Brand-new to Denver, Kathleen Rickerson is Guide’s human resources and operations director. After growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, she spent eight years living and working in Minneapolis and is excited for new adventures in the Mile-High City. Kathleen is passionate about partnering with a company and its employees to create success for everyone. She focuses on process implementation and efficiency and values employee relations and culture.
 
After studying technical writing and theater at Winona State University, Kathleen spent her early adult years as a retail manager and event coordinator. Upon moving to the Twin Cities, she transitioned to operations and human resources. As a Society for Human Resource Management-certified professional and HR Certification Institute-certified professional in human resources, Kathleen uses each part of her education and job history to connect with employees and leaders. She aims to get everyone focused on growing together.
 
Kathleen is a certified Pure Barre instructor, and she loves to encourage her class members to be their very best in each class while having fun. She has often been called an “Energizer bunny” and tends to keep busy and move fast through life. When she’s not at work or reading about labor and employment law, Kathleen can usually be found taking long walks, especially at night or when it’s cold outside. She might also be on the couch watching Bravo and other reality television channels. She loves diet soda, dill pickles, horror movies, yellow mustard, and spending hours researching random and mostly pointless topics.
