Bubbles & Brunch: Mamas & Mimosas Highlights

Bubbles & Brunch: Mamas & Mimosas Highlights
Last month, we celebrated one of Guide’s most beloved events, Mamas & Mimosas!

What started as a small event in Central Park has turned into something truly special. As a way to celebrate mothers—our agents, clients, and own families—we decided to host an event that gave them the love and recognition they deserve while getting some free family photos and enjoying a much-needed mimosa or chocolate croissant.

Mamas and their families can come enjoy complimentary photos with their families, dogs, kiddos, partners, or their own moms.

It can be so difficult to get family photos and bring people together, so that’s exactly what we set out to do with Mamas & Mimosas. We deliver the photos just in time so moms can post their photos for Mother’s Day or their kiddos can print them a pretty canvas. Aside from photos, we have picture frame crafts for the kids, a colorful flower bar for the moms, brunch treats, sponsorship booths and giveaways, and of course, mimosas.

Back when COVID-19 changed all of our lives, we were faced with a decision—to cancel the event or get creative. As a brokerage that loves events and bringing the community together, we pivoted our approach. After collecting clients’ addresses, we drove around the Denver Metro area to bring the photos to people’s doorsteps. Somehow, this hiccup in the plans made the photos turn out even better than we could’ve imagined.

Fast forward five years, and we welcomed over 350 guests and took around 100 family photo sessions.

This was our fifth year doing it, and it broke our record for the largest Guide event to date! There is something so sweet about this event, from the pink cherry blossom trees, the sun shining, kiddos dressed in their best, mamas holding their flower bouquets. It’s such a perfect celebration of mothers who give so much of their time, love, and energy to their children. They’re truly the heart of the family, and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor them.

Each year, we bring on three photographers to help capture the family photos. The photographers for this event have been with us for many years, and they always tell us how special it is to see the families grow and children get older and taller. It’s always heartwarming to see photographers recognize familiar faces. Many of our guests have been coming to Mamas & Mimosas since the very beginning.

With this event taking place in spring, we’ve seen everything from down pouring rain (that so graciously cleared up for us right before the event) to 80+ degrees and sunny.

And no matter what, it adds to the magic of the day. With our picturesque clear umbrellas (that somehow make many photos even more adorable) to tents that protect guests from the weather, we’ve find a way to make it work every time.

We want to take a final moment to thank all the moms out there for all that they do! From kid moms, dog moms, moms-to-be, moms who have loved and lost, and all of those in between, we appreciate you. If you joined us this year, thank you for your continued support! We couldn't do it without you. If you weren't able to make it or are just learning about it now, we hope to see you next year.

If you came to the event and had a blast or have worked with us before we’d love for you to leave us a review. It helps our team a ton and lets us keep hosting events like this one. Want to stay in the know? Follow us on Instagram or Facebook or visit our Eventbrite page for the latest updates.

Cheers, mamas!
