Follow these steps to start your real estate career in Colorado.
Colorado requires 168 hours of approved pre-licensing education to qualify for the real estate licensing exam. Your first step is to choose a school and complete the required coursework. Look for a program that fits your schedule, learning style, and goals.
We partner with Colibri Real Estate as one education option for completing your required coursework.
Once you've completed your education, it's time to prepare for and pass the Colorado and National real estate licensing exam. Learn what to expect, how the exam works, and how to prepare with confidence.
Learn About The Exam
After completing your education and passing the exam, you'll complete the remaining licensing requirements and submit your application. From there, you're ready to take the next step toward launching your Colorado real estate career.
Learn How To Apply
Before applying for your Colorado real estate license, you’ll need to complete a fingerprint-based criminal history background check. Your fingerprints are submitted to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which conducts the background check as part of the licensing process.
Complete this step early to help avoid delays with your license application. If you have a criminal history, Colorado may require additional information as part of its review.
